Cream of Butternut Pumpkin

(Makes 6 portions)

What you need:

  • 100g of butternut pumpkin
  • 2tsp of baby rice
  • 120ml of  formula or breastmilk

How to prepare:

  1. Peel a 100g piece of butternut pumpkin and remove all the seeds.
  2. Dice and steam for 8-10 minutes, or until very tender.
  3. Puree the pumpkin until smooth or sieve.
  4. Blend 2tsp of baby rice with 120ml of warm formula or breastmilk. Stir in the butternut pumpkin.
  5. Spoon a portion into a bowl and cool before serving, if necessary.
  6. Divide the remainder into portions and freeze, or cover and store in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
